“Accountants are the witch-doctors of the modern world and willing to turn their hands to any kind of magic,” – Charles Eustace Harman, 1894-1970, former British judge.
The heart of A-spire Business Partners
At the heart of the firm’s ethos is a desire to ensure that each of our clients not only receives the very best advice, but also a highly personalised service no matter what their size.
The “pillars” of our firm are:
• Integrity
• Diligence
• Expertise
• Approachability.
This means that we always endeavour to act in the best interests of our clients. We have decades of experience of working with SMEs across all sectors, and we try to make things as easy as possible for our clients.
Forget the “stuffy accountants” image – our offices are decorated in shades of pinks and blues and we have a good sense of humour!
At A-spire Business Partners we adopt the “cradle to grave approach”. Many of our clients have been with us for a considerable period of time and when we meet a new client we look to build a long-term relationship.
As a firm of accountants dealing with small businesses, we do not have separate departments to deal with different aspects of a business. This means that we have a complete picture of our clients so we can tailor our advice to their specific need. With the ever-increasing regulatory burden and the complex nature of legislation, we ensure that our collective knowledge is always up to date, and also keep up to date with trends that will have a significant impact on the business environment.
It is our aim to ensure that all your accountancy and business support needs are met so that you can be free to focus on making the most of your business.

Steeped in tradition
Our building
The accountancy firm of A-spire Business Partners is based in Harrow on the Hill – one of the last places in London that is still classified as a village. With panoramic views of London and sitting on the borders of leafy Hertfordshire, the village is just 11 miles from the City of London.
From the reign of Edward the Confessor in the early 11th century, the manors of Harrow on the Hill were owned by the Church until the dissolution of the monasteries in 1544-45, when they were passed over to the Crown. Even then the village of Harrow continued to be linked with figures of great importance in British history, but its greatest renown now lies with its location for the famous Harrow School.
Founded during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1, and granted a royal charter in 1572, Harrow School has educated seven prime ministers including Sir Winston Churchill and Sir William Peel. A long list of venerated Harrovians includes Lord Byron, the Marquis of Hastings, Lord Normanby and the poet Richard Sheridan.
The school retains its prestige as one of the finest educational establishments in the UK, while its charitable trust is dedicated to “enhancing the conditions of life and improving the life-chances of young people through education”.
The 400-year-old building has also been used as the backdrop for films and period dramas and the Fourth Form Room, with its wood panels and mullioned windows, was used as the scene for magic lessons at Hogwarts in the first Harry Potter film.
Modern-day appeal
Visitors to Harrow on the Hill are also drawn by its many other appealing features, such as St Mary’s Church. One of the last remaining Saxon churches in Britain, it stands on the summit of Harrow Hill and can be seen for many miles around. Other buildings of note include St Lawrence’s Church and St John the Evangelist Church.
Our practice logo reflects the beautiful circular windows in the building that houses A-spire Business Partners. Originally built as a chapel in 1860, the community of Harrow on the Hill very quickly outgrew it and the building was then converted into a school. It was then transformed into a library and a wireworks factory before being turned into offices. Our accountancy and business firm now sits – very conveniently – above our associate IT company.
A-spire Business Partners is proud to be part of the great heritage of Harrow on the Hill and believes the environment enables us to provide the finest professional and contemporary service in a truly historic setting.
